Shrimp cooked in silky garlic parmesan cream, delicious with mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice for quick dinners.

# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Shrimp

01 - 450 g medium raw shrimp, deveined and peeled, tails optional
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
04 - 15 ml neutral oil (avocado, olive, or refined coconut oil)

→ Creamy Garlic Sauce

05 - 28 g unsalted butter
06 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 120 ml dry white wine
08 - 240 ml heavy cream, at room temperature
09 - 2.5 ml salt, or to taste
10 - 1.25 ml freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
11 - 60 g freshly grated parmesan, at room temperature
12 - Finely chopped fresh parsley, to taste

# How to Prepare:

01 - Arrange shrimp in a single layer on a cutting board. Sprinkle both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Set aside.
02 - Heat neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add seasoned shrimp in one even layer. Cook undisturbed for 1 to 2 minutes. Flip shrimp and continue cooking for 1 more minute, until opaque, pink, and curled. Transfer shrimp to a bowl and set aside.
03 - Reduce skillet heat to medium. Add butter and allow to melt completely. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
04 - Pour in dry white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Stir and cook until the liquid is reduced by half.
05 - Lower heat to medium-low and let the pan cool briefly. Remove from heat, add heavy cream, and stir to combine. Return skillet to heat and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
06 - Once simmering, add salt and black pepper. Remove skillet from heat and add grated parmesan. Gently stir until parmesan is fully incorporated. Return to heat and simmer for about 1 minute, until sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
07 - Add freshly chopped parsley to the sauce. Return shrimp to skillet and spoon sauce over shrimp to coat evenly. Serve immediately with side of your choice.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Replace white wine with seafood, chicken, or vegetable stock for an alcohol-free version.
02 - Use freshly grated parmesan to avoid starchy additives; pre-grated varieties may affect texture and carb content.
