Hearty chili with ground beef, beans, rich tomato base, and robust spices. Great with cornbread or over chips.

# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 1 medium onion, chopped
03 - 425 g canned tomato sauce
04 - 425 g canned kidney beans, drained and rinsed
05 - 411 g canned stewed tomatoes with juice

→ Seasonings

06 - 1 teaspoon chili powder, or more to taste
07 - 1 pinch garlic powder
08 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Optional

09 - 360 ml water, as needed

# How to Prepare:

01 - In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and onion is softened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
02 - Add tomato sauce, kidney beans, and stewed tomatoes with their juice. If a thinner texture is desired, stir in water until preferred consistency is achieved.
03 - Season with chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Spicy pinto beans may be substituted for kidney beans for greater flavor depth.
