Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet. Top with a slice of mozzarella cheese, a portion of shredded chicken, a spoonful of marinara sauce, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, and another slice of mozzarella.

Position the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side for an additional 3–4 minutes. Lower heat if bread browns too quickly.
