Tender hamburger patties paired with rich onion gravy for a satisfying, comforting main course.

# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ For the Hamburger Steaks

01 - 450 g ground beef (80/20 blend)
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - Salt, to taste
04 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ For the Onion Gravy

05 - 2 medium sweet onions, sliced
06 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
07 - 1 cup (240 ml) low-sodium beef broth
08 - 2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
09 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
10 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

# How to Prepare:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Divide the mixture evenly and shape into four patties approximately 2.5 cm thick.
02 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until well browned. Remove the patties and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add the sliced onions. Sauté over medium heat, stirring frequently, until deeply caramelized and golden, about 8-10 minutes.
04 - Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and whisk continuously to prevent lumps. Simmer until the gravy thickens.
05 - Return the browned patties to the skillet. Cover and simmer gently for 5 minutes, allowing the patties to heat through and absorb the gravy’s flavors.
06 - Serve the hamburger steaks hot, smothered in onion gravy. Ideal with mashed potatoes or steamed rice.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For extra richness, add a splash of cream to the gravy before serving.
