Air Fryer Parmesan Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken Coating

01 - 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, butterflied and cut in half
02 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
03 - 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
06 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
09 - 1 large egg
10 - 1 tablespoon water
11 - Cooking spray or olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes.
02 - Pound the chicken to an even thickness if needed for even cooking. In one shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and water. In another bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
03 - Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then coat it with the Parmesan-panko mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
04 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the chicken pieces in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary). Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray or brush with olive oil. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
05 - Let the chicken rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve with a side salad, vegetables, or your favorite dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - Using finely grated Parmesan creates a crispier coating.
02 - If you don’t have an air fryer, bake in an oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
03 - Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
