American Flag Fruit Pizza (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sugar Cookie Crust

01 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tsp baking powder
03 - 1/2 tsp salt
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 2 tsp vanilla extract

→ Cream Cheese Frosting

08 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
09 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
10 - 2 cups powdered sugar
11 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

→ Fruit Topping (Flag Design)

12 - 1 cup blueberries
13 - 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
14 - 2 bananas, sliced

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes). Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
02 - In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy.
03 - Spread frosting evenly over the cooled cookie crust. Add blueberries in the top-left corner to represent the stars. Create red and white stripes by arranging rows of strawberries and banana slices across the rest of the pizza. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

# Notes:

01 - Toss banana slices in a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
02 - The cookie crust can be baked a day in advance and assembled just before serving.
03 - For convenience, use store-bought sugar cookie dough as an alternative crust option.
