# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 125 g all-purpose flour
02 - 50 g granulated sugar
03 - 1 tsp baking powder
04 - 0.5 tsp baking soda
05 - 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
06 - Pinch of salt

→ Wet Ingredients

07 - 120 ml buttermilk
08 - 1 large egg
09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

→ Apple Mixture

11 - 1 medium apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced small
12 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter
13 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
14 - 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon

→ Glaze

15 - 120 g powdered sugar
16 - 30–45 ml milk
17 - 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

# How to Prepare:

01 - In a small skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced apple, brown sugar, and 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until the apples are tender and caramelized, then set aside to cool slightly.
02 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in the cooled apple mixture without overmixing.
05 - Preheat and lightly grease the waffle iron. Spoon portions of the batter into the center of each well. Close the lid and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly.
06 - Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until a smooth glaze forms. Adjust thickness by adding more milk or sugar as needed.
07 - Once the waffle donuts are warm but not hot, dip the tops into the glaze or drizzle with a spoon. Allow the glaze to set before serving.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in a toaster.
02 - Add chopped pecans or a pinch of nutmeg for extra seasonal flavor.
03 - For a decadent dessert, stack and serve with ice cream and warm caramel sauce.
