Balsamic Strawberry Caprese Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
02 - 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
03 - 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
04 - 2-3 tablespoons balsamic reduction or glaze

→ Optional Ingredients

05 - 1 tablespoon high-quality olive oil
06 - Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
07 - Pinch of sea salt

# Instructions:

01 - Wash the strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove the stems and slice them into thin slices, about 1/4 inch thick.
02 - Drain the mozzarella and pat it dry. If using a large ball of mozzarella, slice it into rounds similar in thickness to the strawberries. If using small mozzarella balls, drain them well.
03 - On a serving platter, arrange the strawberry slices and mozzarella in an alternating pattern, either in rows or a circle.
04 - Tear or chop the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the strawberries and mozzarella.
05 - Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the arranged salad. If using, add a light drizzle of olive oil and season with a pinch of sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
06 - Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

# Notes:

01 - For the best presentation, use a white or light-colored platter to make the colors pop.
02 - You can make your own balsamic reduction by simmering balsamic vinegar until it thickens.
03 - This salad is best enjoyed fresh and doesn't store well for long periods.
