Butterscotch Toffee Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1½ cups brown sugar
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

05 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
06 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
07 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Mix-Ins

08 - 1 cup butterscotch chips
09 - ¾ cup toffee bits

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, then mix until fully combined.
03 - Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix just until the ingredients are combined—do not overmix.
04 - Gently fold in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
05 - Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 25–28 minutes, or until golden on top and the edges begin to pull away from the sides.
06 - Let the bars cool completely in the pan. For cleaner cuts and gooier texture, slightly underbake and refrigerate before slicing. Use a sharp knife to cut into bars.

# Notes:

01 - For a salty-sweet twist, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
02 - Customize with chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture.
03 - These bars also freeze well—layer them with parchment in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
