Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta (Print-Friendly Version)

Succulent chicken, tender pasta, and a silky garlic-Parmesan sauce create pure comfort on any weeknight.

# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
02 - 450 g twisted pasta (fusilli, penne, or rotini)
03 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
04 - 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 360 ml heavy cream
06 - 120 ml chicken broth
07 - 100 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided
09 - 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
10 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
11 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

# How to Prepare:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 120 ml of pasta water, then drain and set pasta aside.
02 - Pat the chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken pieces for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth while scraping the browned bits. Stir in heavy cream and remaining Italian seasoning, simmering for 2–3 minutes. Reduce heat to low, gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth without bringing to a boil.
04 - Return the cooked chicken with its juices to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss thoroughly to coat in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as necessary for desired consistency.
05 - Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or pepper as needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Substituting chicken thighs for breasts yields a richer result.
02 - Always grate Parmesan fresh to prevent a grainy sauce texture.
03 - Use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce thickness.
04 - Can be made ahead through the sauce step; reheat and combine before serving.
05 - Pair with a crisp salad or crusty garlic bread for a complete meal.
