Cucumber Sandwiches Tea Snack (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 slices of white or whole wheat bread, crusts removed
02 - 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
04 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice
05 - 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill)
06 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - Salt and pepper, to taste
08 - 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
02 - Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of each bread slice. Arrange the cucumber slices in a single layer on half of the bread slices. Top with the remaining bread slices, spread-side down, to form sandwiches.
03 - Gently press the sandwiches together and trim the crusts (if not already removed). Cut each sandwich into quarters or triangles for serving.
04 - Arrange the cucumber sandwiches on a platter and serve immediately. For added freshness, garnish with a sprig of dill or parsley.

# Notes:

01 - To prevent soggy sandwiches, lightly pat the cucumber slices with a paper towel before assembling.
02 - Add a touch of elegance by sprinkling a small amount of smoked salmon or thinly sliced radishes.
03 - Use gluten-free bread for a gluten-free option.
