Ground beef, peppers, cheese, and savory spices meld for a comforting weeknight meal everyone will love.

# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Main Components

01 - 450 g ground beef (80% lean)
02 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 cup (150 g) bell peppers, chopped (any colour)
05 - 1 can (410 g) crushed tomatoes
06 - 2 teaspoons ground cumin
07 - 1 teaspoon paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
09 - 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)

# How to Prepare:

01 - Chop the onion and bell peppers, and mince the garlic.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Drizzle with a small amount of oil, add onions, and sauté until they become translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
03 - Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until beef is browned throughout, approximately 7 to 10 minutes.
04 - Add chopped bell peppers, ground cumin, paprika, and dried oregano. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes until bell peppers soften.
05 - Pour in the crushed tomatoes. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to develop flavour.
06 - Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the mixture. Cover the pan and let cheese melt, about 3 minutes. Serve immediately while hot.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For a milder flavour, use sweet paprika and select mild cheese. Serve with rice, crusty bread, or a fresh salad.
