# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/4 cup sugar
03 - 1 tsp salt
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
05 - 1/2 cup warm milk
06 - 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
07 - 1 egg
08 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

→ For Frying

09 - 2 cups vegetable oil

→ For Coating and Filling

10 - 1/2 cup sugar
11 - 1 cup pastry cream or whipped cream
12 - 1 tbsp vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
02 - Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture becomes crumbly.
03 - Add the yeast mixture, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
04 - Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
05 - Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.
06 - Roll the dough into a rectangle and fold it like a letter. Repeat this process 3 times.
07 - Cut the dough into doughnut shapes and allow them to rise for 30 minutes.
08 - Heat the oil to 175°C (350°F). Fry the doughnuts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
09 - Roll the fried doughnuts in sugar and fill them with pastry cream or whipped cream.
