11 - 60 ml sour cream
12 - 30 g unsalted butter
13 - Salt, to taste
14 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Topping

15 - 170 g shredded cheddar cheese
16 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

# How to Prepare:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Grease a 23 x 23 cm baking dish or line with parchment for easy removal.
02 - In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
03 - Press the meat mixture evenly into the prepared dish. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes.
04 - Warm the mashed potatoes, stirring in sour cream and butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
05 - Gently spread the mashed potato mixture over the cooked meatloaf layer.
06 - Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly on top. Return to oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
07 - Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For creamier potatoes, use freshly made mashed potatoes, but leftovers work well when warmed thoroughly.
02 - Allowing the casserole to rest before slicing ensures neat portions.
