# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 900 g beef chuck roast
02 - 1 onion, diced
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 2 carrots, sliced
05 - 2 stalks celery, chopped

→ Liquids & Seasonings

06 - 480 ml beef broth
07 - 120 ml red wine (optional)
08 - 1 tsp dried thyme
09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste

# How to Prepare:

01 - Generously season the beef chuck roast with salt and black pepper on all sides.
02 - Place the seasoned beef in the base of a slow cooker, then add the diced onion, minced garlic, sliced carrots, and chopped celery around the meat.
03 - Pour in the beef broth and red wine, if using. Sprinkle the dried thyme evenly over all ingredients.
04 - Secure the lid and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, until the beef is fully tender and easily shreds with a fork.
05 - Remove the beef from the slow cooker and, using two forks, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Serve the beef alongside the vegetables and spoon some cooking liquid over the top.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For a richer flavour, brown the beef in a hot pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
