Heat 15 millilitres olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes in batches for 1–2 minutes on each side until evenly browned. Transfer the browned steak to the slow cooker.

In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining olive oil, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Pour the seasoning mixture over the steak cubes in the slow cooker and stir gently to coat evenly. Place butter on top of the meat.

Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is fork-tender.

Stir the steak bites gently, transfer to a serving platter, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
