# Ingredients:

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 1 teaspoon salt
03 - 1 teaspoon black pepper

→ Baconnaise Sauce

04 - 4 slices bacon
05 - 120 ml mayonnaise
06 - 1 tablespoon ketchup
07 - 1 tablespoon mustard

→ Assembly

08 - 4 hamburger buns
09 - 4 slices cheese (optional)
10 - 60 ml diced onions (optional)
11 - Pickles, to serve (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
02 - Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form each into a ball.
03 - Sprinkle each beef ball with salt and black pepper.
04 - Place the seasoned beef balls onto the hot skillet or griddle.
05 - Firmly press each ball with a spatula to flatten into thin patties.
06 - Cook patties for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are browned and crusty.
07 - Turn the patties and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
08 - While the beef cooks, fry the bacon slices in a separate pan until crispy.
09 - Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl to create Baconnaise sauce.
10 - Toast the hamburger buns cut-side down on the skillet or griddle until golden.
11 - Place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt if desired.
12 - Spread Baconnaise sauce on the bottom portion of each bun.
13 - Add a smashed patty, crispy bacon, diced onions, and pickles as preferred.
14 - Top with the remaining bun halves and serve hot.
