01 - 680 grams lean ground beef

05 - 1 red bell pepper, diced
06 - 1 yellow bell pepper, diced

07 - 480 millilitres tomato sauce
08 - 1 can (410 grams) diced tomatoes, drained
09 - 240 millilitres beef broth
10 - 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
11 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
12 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

13 - 100 grams shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese
14 - 50 grams breadcrumbs (optional)

# How to Prepare:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic, diced carrots, and diced bell peppers, and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until vegetables are tender.
02 - Push vegetables to the side of the skillet and add lean ground beef. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Pour in tomato sauce, drained diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Stir to combine. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
04 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Transfer beef and vegetable mixture to a casserole dish. Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese over the top and add breadcrumbs if using.
05 - Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Allow casserole to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
