Hot Sausage Feta Honey Pizza (Print-Friendly Version)

Spicy sausage, creamy feta, and sweet honey top a golden crust for a boldly balanced flavor.

# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Base

01 - 1 pizza dough, store-bought or homemade

→ Sauce and Cheese

02 - 60 ml tomato sauce or pizza sauce
03 - 170 g shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 120 g hot Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
05 - 85 g crumbled feta cheese

→ Toppings

06 - 60 ml honey
07 - 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
08 - 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
09 - 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
10 - Fresh arugula or spinach, for garnish (optional)

# How to Prepare:

01 - Preheat the oven to 230°C. Place a pizza stone in the oven if using.
02 - Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
03 - Brush the dough with olive oil and bake for 5 minutes until the surface begins to firm up.
04 - Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly across the sauce.
05 - Distribute the cooked hot sausage evenly over the pizza, followed by the crumbled feta.
06 - Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 10–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheeses are bubbling and lightly browned.
07 - Remove the pizza from the oven and let cool for 1 minute. Drizzle honey evenly across the surface.
08 - Top with fresh arugula or spinach if desired. Slice and serve hot.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Always drizzle honey after baking to retain sweetness and prevent burning.
02 - Pre-baking the crust and using high heat yields optimal crispiness.
03 - Alternate cheeses such as goat cheese or ricotta may be substituted for the feta.
04 - Vegetarian adaptation is possible by substituting sausage with spicy roasted chickpeas, mushrooms, or plant-based alternatives.
05 - Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3 days and reheat at 190°C for 5–7 minutes for best texture.
