01 -
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line a 20x20 cm baking pan with parchment paper, allowing excess to overhang for easy removal.
02 -
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon until evenly combined.
03 -
In a large bowl, mix melted butter with 300 g granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
04 -
Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
05 -
Mix the reserved 25 g granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the surface of the batter.
06 -
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center yields a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking.
07 -
Cool bars completely in the pan on a wire rack. Lift out using parchment overhang, then slice into squares or rectangles for serving.
