Classic M&M Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1 cup brown sugar, packed
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 1/2 cups M&M’s, plus extra for topping
10 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
04 - Gently fold in M&M’s and chocolate chips.
05 - Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle extra M&M’s on top for a colorful finish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
06 - Let cool completely before slicing into bars. Enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - Use an 8×8-inch pan and increase bake time by 5-7 minutes for thicker bars.
02 - For a festive twist, use seasonal M&M’s for holidays.
03 - Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
