# What You’ll Need to Make This:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 450 g frozen cheese and potato pierogi or variety of choice
02 - 450 g turkey sausage, sliced
03 - 1 medium onion, chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Cream Sauce

05 - 240 ml heavy cream
06 - 120 ml chicken broth
07 - 100 g sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

→ Seasonings and Garnish

08 - 15 ml olive oil
09 - 5 g smoked paprika
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Black pepper, to taste
12 - Fresh chives, chopped, for garnish

# How to Prepare:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 to 7 minutes.
02 - Incorporate minced garlic and sliced turkey sausage. Continue cooking until the sausage is browned and cooked through, 8 to 10 minutes.
03 - While sausage cooks, boil frozen pierogi according to package instructions, typically 3 to 5 minutes until floating. Drain well and set aside.
04 - Once sausage is cooked, pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Add smoked paprika, season with salt and black pepper, and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
05 - Gently fold in the cooked pierogi, ensuring each dumpling is coated. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover the skillet. Cook on low for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling.
06 - Remove from heat and garnish generously with chopped fresh chives before serving.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Serve straight from the skillet for rustic presentation or plate individual servings topped with extra chives and a sprinkle of cheese. For additional creaminess, drizzle with a little extra cream before serving.
