→ Filling

01 - 450 g ground beef, turkey, or chicken
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 small onion, finely diced
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade equivalent
06 - 120 ml tomato sauce or salsa
07 - Sea salt, to taste
08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ For Assembly

09 - 10 small corn or gluten-free taco shells, gently warmed
10 - 200 g shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend

→ Toppings

11 - 100 g shredded lettuce
12 - 80 g diced tomatoes
13 - 60 g red onion, diced
14 - 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
15 - Optional: sour cream, sliced jalapeños, guacamole, hot sauce

# How to Prepare:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly oil a baking dish or line it with foil for easy cleanup.
02 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic until aromatic. Add ground meat, breaking it apart as it browns. Stir in taco seasoning, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
03 - Fill each warmed taco shell with an even portion of the beef mixture. Top generously with shredded cheese and stand tacos upright in the prepared baking dish.
04 - Bake in the centre of the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the shells are crisp.
05 - Remove the dish from the oven. Garnish each taco with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro. Add additional toppings such as sour cream, jalapeños, guacamole, or hot sauce according to preference.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Ground turkey or chicken can be substituted for beef for a lighter version.
02 - Taco shells can be filled and refrigerated a few hours in advance; bake just before serving.
03 - Personalise with your favourite toppings for added flavour and texture.
